Butterflies
I can see you want to touch my heart
It’s yours anyway with all its parts
But I got a tiny question to impart
Would you stare at me in a room full of art?
You’re taking a sip on your whiskey
While my lips taste your sweet cheeks
With our bodies moving through the rhythm
And your eyes make me feel like I’m dreaming
Are your arms meant nothing but my safety?
I should then consider myself lucky
And to have kissed your nice dimple and sharp jaws
Got my butterflies make a round of applause
If you may please borrow my heart
You’re the only one who can tear it apart
But if you choose to give it back to me
I’ll surely see your face in everyone in this party
The only scar I got from all this spark
Is when I have to close my eyes in the dark
And your absence makes me want to scream
So please be there even in my dreams
Can we always listen to music together?
Can you be the subject of my poems forever?
I know you have feelings you may want to guard
But sorry, I just ship myself with you so hard
And if you may, please keep my heart
You’re the one who makes it race from the start
Despite the rough bruises on its surface
You took and wore it like a gold necklace
