Ashes & Smoke

I searched for myself in front of the mirror

But all I can see is all of the colors

That you painted me and made me glow

Even when I kept choosing of letting you go

So I searched for us through the ashes and smoke

Breathed in your scent despite getting choked

Perhaps that’s the best thing I can do

To save our memories while you’re with someone new

Our letters and polaroids became one with fire

All had vanished together with our laughters and desires

But even my reflection shows your face

Maybe I’m destined to look for you in this maze

Then there I searched for your remaining pieces

In this land we shared with hugs and kisses

But it all dusted into thin air as I screamed

Gladly, I can still hold onto you at least in my dream
